Dakota Ranch Outfitters is owned and operated by Pat and Cassy West.  Pat has been guiding big game hunters for approximately 25 years in Wyoming, Montana, and South Dakota.  He currently lives in Western South Dakota and is a very experienced hunter.  He enjoys the outdoor life and sharing that experience with others. 

Dakota Ranch Outfitters offers hunts in Western South Dakota, which include mule deer, whitetail, and turkey.  We have access to approximately 100,000 acres of private hunting ground.  All of our hunts are conducted on private ranches that have been selected because of the trophy quality animals they hold.  We believe in wildlife management and that is why we try to harvest only mature bucks or cull bucks. We also attempt to take several does a year as well.  

All of our hunts are fully guided and include room, board, and food.  The hunts we provide are conducted either from a motel or a ranch house with all of the modern conveniences. Dakota Ranch Outfitters makes it our goal to do everything possible to ensure the hunter an enjoyable and memorable hunt.  That is why we strive to provide you with the best professional guides available that are experienced hunters and are very familiar with the area you are hunting.  Once a hunter has booked a hunt with us, they would then make arrangements to fly into Rapid City, SD.  From there, it is a short drive to the hunting location.
